OCI card for adults
The processing time for completed applications is around six to eight weeks. The times given here are based on experience and not binding commitments. Whether and when an OCI card is issued, is at the sole discretion of the Indian Consulate General.
Important:
People of Indian origin who want to apply for an OCI Card, also need a Surrender Certificate beforehand.

- In the case of expatriation before August 1, 2005, no Surrender Certificate is required.

- A Surrender Certificate is required for expatriation after June 1, 2010. Fees of €98.50 apply.
